She studied interior architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After studying for two and a half years in SAIC, she transferred to Girne American University in Northern Cyprus in 2015. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in interior architecture.
İpek worked for notable designers, artists, and architecture firms. These names include Marcel Wanders [Amsterdam], Framework Studio [Amsterdam], Design Haus Liberty [London], Dr. Helga Schmid [independent artist/designer], Snøhetta [Oslo] and GeoID [Istanbul].
She furthered her studies with a Master of Arts degree in Interaction Design Communication at London College of Communication [University of the Arts London]. Subjects she explored during her MA degree included the technological subconscious, the human psyche, the social media gaze, and domestic violence against women in Turkey.
Currently, she is focused on creating oil paintings, poetry, and collectibles addressing themes of power dynamics, folly, the human subconscious, and pre- and post-apocalyptic world. She strives to synthesize these subjects into visually impactful projects, challenging preconceptions and sparking meaningful dialogue through her work.
